Short title and commencement wbswpension.gov.in Form-

(1)This scheme may be called the West Bengal Widow Pension Scheme, 2010.

(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette specify.

Eligibility for applying wbswpension.gov.in Form

1. This scheme applies to a widow/widow if the widow/woman fulfills the following conditions:-
   • She is a citizen of India and a resident of a state namely West Bengal.
   • Her family income, if any, does not exceed Rs. 1000.00 (one thousand) per month.
   • None of her relatives support her.
   • Has resided in the State of West Bengal for at least ten years on the date of application for widow’s pension.
2. However, the State Government reserves the right to relax the condition of residence mentioned in sub-section (d) of sub-section (1) of sub-section (2) if the condition causes undue hardship. Vidhwa Pension Apply Online

Note 1.- Professional beggars and beggars are not eligible for pension under this scheme. But persons who are not really beggars by profession, but receive occasional help from someone, are entitled to a pension if they are otherwise entitled. wbswpension.gov.in Form

Note 2.- An applicant who is a recipient of “Disability Pension”, “Old Age Pension”, “Farmer’s Pension” or pension under the “Family Pension Scheme” of the State Government or Central Government or other entities will not be entitled to widow’s pension. wbswpension.gov.in Form

3. Definition – In this scheme, unless there is something repugnant in the subject matter or context –

a. “Application” means an application for widow’s pension;

b. “Applicant” means a widow/woman who has applied for a widow’s pension;

c. “Form” means the form prescribed in this behalf by the State Government;

d. “Pension” means a widow’s pension under this scheme;

e. “Pensioner” means an applicant who has been granted a widow’s pension under this scheme;

f. “Secretary” means the Secretary or Chief Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Ministry of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare;

g. “State Government” means the State Government in the Ministry of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare;

h. “State” means the State of West Bengal;

i. “Relation” means and includes

• Son daughter;
• Brother;
• Parents.

Method of Applying for Widow Pension wbswpension.gov.in Form

1. The pension application form (P-form) can be obtained free of charge from the following offices:
   • Office of Block Development Officer or Executive Officer of the concerned Panchayat Samity in case the applicant resides in rural areas under the said Panchayat Samity
   • Office of Sub-Divisional Officer in case of applicant residing in Urban / Notified Areas outside Calcutta Municipal Corporation Areas and
   • Office of the Controller of Vagrancy, West Bengal located at Purta Bhawan, Bidhan Nagar, Kolkata-700091, in case of applicant residing in areas under Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Vidhwa Pension Apply Online.
2. The pension application form should be sent to:
   • The District Magistrate of the concerned district and shall be submitted to the Block Development Officer or the Executive Director of the Panchayat Samity in case of an applicant residing in rural areas under the Panchayat Samity;
   • District Magistrate of the concerned district and will be submitted to the Sub-Divisional Officer in case of applicant residing in Urban / Notified Areas outside Kolkata Municipal Corporation Area.
   • Controller of Vagrancy, West Bengal and will be submitted to the Controller of Vagrancy West Bengal in case the applicant resides in the areas under Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
